Hiya girls!
Today, a handful of tips for those who cannot boast of lush and thick hair.
For many of us, styling thin, fine hair can be a real torture because no matter what we do, it never looks good enough:/ Luckily, there is a solution to every situation:) Below you will find my tips and tricks on how to enhance hair volume. You do not need to put too much effort in it, see for yourself! 😉
- Let’s start with the shampoo; it is best to avoid using 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, instead go for a lighter consistency. A conditioner you apply to the tips of your hair should have the same formula. In this case, the ideal solution will be a delicate spray conditioner.
- Blow-drying. The best way to blowout the hair is to bend your head upside down, use a dryer with a diffuser and preferably ionization function. Also, remember not to dry the hair with too hot air. If you do this before going to sleep, you can tie the hair in a loose knot/bun on the top of the head and go to sleep. This trick will make the hair wavy and lifted at the base.
- Now, time for styling; First of all replace the hair mousse with a hairspray. Even though theoretically, the hair mousse is designed to increase volume, in practice, it usually weighs the hair down. After gentle backcombing, spray the strands from the bottom and comb very gently. Another nice and effective cosmetic that will visibly increase the amount of hair is a hair powder. However, try not to exceed the amount you use because it might stick the strands.
- Cutting/trimming and the hairdo. The longer the hair, the harder it is to increase its volume. As a matter of fact, sometimes you only need a good trim! Short and layered hairdo will give the impression of fuller volume. However, those of you who prefer wearing long hair, I have another piece of advice: waves will always give the impression of thicker hair. If you have, a hair crimper or even a hair straightener used only at the base of the hair will help prevent the flat look. Shoulder-length will be the most flattering length when it comes to fine hair.
