Hey girls!
Today, I want to share something that has completely changed my life (or at least my lashes) – lash lift and lamination at home! If you haven’t yet heard about these methods for neat lashes, you need to keep reading, because it’s truly worth getting to know! It turns out that many beauty brands offer lash lift and lamination kits. But which ones really work? I decided to create a list of the most recommended kits from top brands. So, what does my ranking look like?
What exactly are lash lift and lamination?
Alright, let’s start with the basics. Lash lift is a technique that makes your natural lashes beautifully curled right from the roots. Imagine waking up in the morning with perfectly curled lashes without using an eyelash curler or mascara. Sounds like a dream, right? That’s exactly what lash lift can do!
On the other hand, lash lamination often goes hand in hand with the lash lift. It involves coating the lashes with a special nourishing keratin coating, making them stronger, shinier, and appear thicker.
Best at-home lash lift kits – ranking
Now that we understand the concept, it’s time to look at the lash lift and lamination kits that you can use at home. Hold on tight, because things are about to get interesting!
1. Nanolash lash lift and lamination kit
I’ll start by saying that this kit literally changed my approach to lash lamination! Seriously, ever since I used it, my lashes look like a million bucks, even though the Nanolash Lash Lift Kit didn’t cost anywhere near that much! In fact, it’s a fairly affordable product that you can find in most drugstores and online stores, yet it gives results like a professional beauty salon.
What’s included in the Nanolash kit?
Basically, it contains everything important for doing a lash lift and lamination at home:
- Laminating solutions: Lift – Step 1, Fix – Step 2, and Keratin Booster – Step 3;
- 3 pairs of silicone rods in 3 different sizes;
- Lash Lift Glue (5 ml);
- Additional accessories for the lamination process.
The box includes 10 sachets of each product, with a capacity of 0.5 ml per sachet. With such a comprehensive set, the kit lasts for up to 10 applications! The effect of beautifully curled lashes lasts for up to two months, making this kit an investment that’s worth every penny.
This kit is great for both beginners and professionals. It comes with a simple user manual, clearly labeled bottles and sachets for step-by-step use, and it’s reusable, allowing you to care for your lashes at home regularly. It’s also easy to use, which definitely won me over. I don’t like spending too much time figuring out every next step.
What I do love is when something is practical and delivers great results. That’s exactly what the Nanolash kit does – creating magic with lashes. The eyes become noticeably enhanced, and the lashes nourished. Thanks to this kit, I gained a lot of extra time in the morning for lazing around instead of doing makeup, while still looking and feeling great.
2. Elleebana Lash Lift – starter lash lift kit
Elleebana is a brand I heard about from my beautician. Apparently, it’s a hit for at-home lash lamination, though it’s also used by professionals, so of course, I had to try it!
What’s included in the Elleebana Lash Lift kit?
- 15 pairs of sachets with activator and neutralizer
- Glue with a brush applicator
- Silicone rods
- A metal lash-lifting applicator
- A brush
- Foam remover
This kit lasts for 15 to 60 lash lift applications, which is impressive. However, since it comes in sachets, you need to use each one practically in one go, as there’s no way to reseal the products. What impressed me? The keratin and collagen-enriched formula. After the treatment, my lashes were not only curled but also looked healthier!
It’s an expensive lash lamination kit, but if you like using products that professionals trust, it’s worth giving it a try.
The effect lasted quite long, about 7 weeks. Another bonus is the quick application time -about 20 minutes, so you can easily do it before an important event.
However, keep in mind that this kit is often used by professionals. While it can be used at home, the application and even product distribution can be somewhat tricky. That’s why you should thoroughly read the instructions before use.
3. Zola Protein Reconstruction System – brow and lash lift kit
I was impressed by this kit because I didn’t have high expectations for it. But it turned out to be a great option for those of you who are just starting with the lash lift.
What’s included in the kit?
- 10 ml emulsion
- 10 ml neutralizer
- 10 ml protein conditioner
This kit lacks precise applicators, rods, and brushes, which is a downside, especially considering the price – it’s one of the more expensive lash and brow lamination kits.
Nevertheless, the products deliver a pretty nice lash curling effect. It’s very subtle and natural, so it’s perfect if you’re just starting your journey with lash lift and lamination.
I have some reservations about the durability of this kit. The effect didn’t last spectacularly long, about 4 weeks. But considering the ease and speed of application, the result is satisfactory in my opinion.
4. RefectoCil Eyelash Lift
RefectoCil is one of the more popular brands associated with lash lift and lamination. It deserves attention primarily because it’s readily available both online and in stores.
What’s included in the kit?
- 3 pairs of silicone rods in sizes S, M, and L
- 2 tubes of lifting solution
- 2 tubes of neutralizer
- A bottle of glue
- An eyelash lifter tool
- 2 mini cosmetic bowls
- 2 brushes
The formula includes pro-vitamin B5, so lashes are not only curled but also nourished. The lamination effect lasts up to 6 weeks, though it’s very subtle and doesn’t enhance the lashes as dramatically as the previous kits.
Unfortunately, I felt a slight burning sensation during the application, which wasn’t pleasant, so it might be too strong for people with sensitive eyes.
5. Thuya Lash Lift Kit
Finally, something for fans of natural ingredients – the kit from the Spanish brand Thuya. I came across positive reviews online, and they turned out to be true.
What’s included in the kit?
- Permanent Gel
- Neutralizer
- Silicone rods in M size
- Wooden pick
Additionally, the manufacturer recommends purchasing a keratin dye and argan cream to nourish the lashes. I decided to give it a try, and I must say that after using this kit, my lashes were not only curled but noticeably thicker!
Unfortunately, the effect didn’t last as long as I’d hoped. After about 5 weeks, it was almost gone. While the initial result was great, it faded over time. Considering this is a premium kit, I expected it to last longer and include the conditioner, rather than having to buy it separately.
In conclusion, at-home lash lift and lamination is a great option for all of us! For me, Nanolash is the top of the top, and I plan to continue using it on my lashes.
But no matter which kit you choose, I guarantee you’ll be thrilled with the results. Just remember to follow the instructions carefully and not overdo the frequency of lash lifts, and always care for your lashes daily, preferably with a conditioner or serum containing keratin and botanical oils.
