I set my heart on a Nanoil micellar shampoo with algae extract after reading all the rave reviews. My hair tends to be in a poor condition and gets very dry, particularly in the winter or summer due to the sun exposure. I was dying to see the effect of a hydrating shampoo based on algae. Without more ado, let me present my review of Nanoil Algae Micellar Shampoo.
MY HAIR STORY…
I’m not going to bore you but I need to briefly describe my hair so you know the best type for this shampoo and what problems it deals with. Genereally, my hair doesn’t cause much trouble but it rebels at times, usually when the weather changes, making it suffer from extreme temperatures or dry air indoors. This sparks problems like dull hair, lack of smoothness, hair losing volume and hydration. It turns so damn stiff and frizzy, and even a ponytail or braid doesn’t help. It’s a nightmare.
Also, my hair’s in awful condition after the wintertime and it always needs trimming, or even a drastic cut. That is why hydrating products are my must-haves. Unfortunately, most of them weigh my fine hair down.
Nanoil offers a micellar shampoo for deep scalp and hair washing without weighing hair down but leaving it voluminous. Micelles aim to perfectly wash the hair, removing any dirt, but also balance the oil production and lift the hair roots for more volume. They make a perfect match with the hydrating substances in the Nanoil shampoo.

NANOIL ALGAE MICELLAR SHAMPOO: ANALYSIS OF INGREDIENTS
The shampoo is made up of gentle cleansing and foam-forming substances and powerful conditioning ingredients.
- Micelles: molecules which free hair and scalp of dirt, oil, toxins and product buildup.
- Nori Algae Extract: protects against UV, strengthens hair, makes it smoother. The red Nori algae are the most wonderful substances to enhance beauty. Personally, I love algae-rich face creams too.
- Tara Gum: creates a protective coating to hold off damage and lock water in hair.
- Castor Oil: nurtures hair from the follicles to the tips, reinforces, protects the color, hydrates and nourishes the scalp.
NANOIL ALGAE MICELLAR SHAMPOO: PACKAGING, PRICE, SIZE
It comes in the most beautiful bottle I’ve ever seen for a shampoo. The black and gold colors go with my bathroom decor. 🙂 The shampoo looks great and smells amazing (fresh aroma, not the sweet suffocating odor that I hate; it stays on hair for the entire day so I can smell the wonderful freshness). The 300-ml shampoo lathers perfectly, is easy to spread on the hair and rinse, plus a little goes a long way. To me, the price is fair for the effects.
WHY IS NANOIL ALGAE MICELLAR SHAMPOO MY MUST-HAVE?
What do I think about the algae-rich shampoo? This is my absolute favorite! It doesn’t only wash my hair thoroughly, but also conditions, keeps it hydrated, leaves it smooth, bouncy and easy to comb. This is the best hydrating shampoo I’ve ever used.
